Airfield & Domestic Information

Most airfield information can be found in the Local Procedures.

Airfield access

The airfield entrance has an automatic gate controlled by a keypad or remotely by security. We’ll send the gate code to all competitors and their registered crews in the week leading up to the competition. If you haven’t got the code, use the call button on the keypad to get security to open the gate. Tell them you are visiting the gliding club.

Breakfast and evening meals will be available from Saturday to Saturday. Sandwiches, snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase all day. For self caterers there are large supermarkets in Stroud (Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsburys) and Cirencester (Waitrose, Tesco and M&S Simply Food). Nailsworth has a Morrisons supermarket and Minchinhampton a small village shop.

Evening Entertainment

We’ve got some fun evening activities planned during the competition. Click here for details.

The airfield has plenty of space for camping and caravans with water and waste disposal. There are a limited number of electric hookups in the camping area. The club has ample modern washing, shower and lavatory facilities in the club house. We also have a list of local accommodation.

Internet access

Wireless internet access is available in and around the tower and camping areas.
